A computer game or video game is a video game that entails interaction with a human user interface or user input device; for example, a mouse, keyboard, joystick, brighter motion sensing unit or a gaming pad. A game can also be computer-generated, where the output is a game file that an end user can use to perform some role-playing or interactive gaming. The term “video game” itself can refer to any game in which visual images are displayed to the gamer’s eyes and which results to a simulation of the real world. It can also refer to computer software used to create this effect and can be packaged into a computer program for use with computers.
For hardcore gamers, video games are often used to advance and upgrade gaming strategies. Gamers who practice on a regular basis may find themselves to be experts at a particular skill. In an age where every man and his dog are attempting to become a “game changer,” it’s not uncommon for a hardcore gamer to seek out and use gaming strategies to advance their capabilities. For instance, if a player is having trouble with a certain type of game, then they might experiment with more difficult versions of the game to see if they can improve their chances of success. This is not to say that all gamers seek this route; many players find that they are able to get more enjoyment from the actual game, and tend to stop looking for strategy advice outside the game.
With the proliferation of online gaming, it has become important for companies to implement measures that can protect both employees and gamers. Some companies have introduced policies that dictate when players are able to connect to each other, and others set time limits for playing online. Time limits and peer protection features are often used by companies to limit the number of times a player is connected to the gaming device. However, there is no evidence indicating that this prevents or even deters bad behavior among gamers, and a majority of players are still able to connect with each other without being restricted by time constraints.
